Content ratings help you understand the type of content you might find in an app or game, so you can decide if they are suitable for you and your family.

Content ratings describe the minimum age we feel the content is suitable for. It does not indicate that the app was specifically designed for that particular age, or if a certain level of skill is required to play the game or use the app.

Minecraft is a game where your imagination can run free. Why not extend that to the appearance of the game setting itself? With Minecraft SkingEdit you can do just that.

For users new to skinning, Minecraft SkinEdit is thankfully relatively easy to get a handle on. Youve got a color palette to work with, and if youre unsure youre going to like the changes youve implemented theres a live preview option that comes with the editor. You never have to change anything permanently until youve previewed your work with Minecraft SkinEdit.

Minecraft SkinEdit also has a variety of different brushes at your disposal. You can also make use of shading effects like burn and dodge, and paint in larger areas with the flood fill feature. If you make a mistake with Minecraft SkinEdit, the program offers both undo and redo options.

Unfortunately, it can still be tricky to create a really innovative or aesthetically pleasing design in Minecraft SkinEdit, despite all of the options available to you. If youre not particularly artistically inclined, it could take you a lot of time to really master making an impressive looking skin. Results will vary by an individual users artistic prowess, although the process of creating a new skin can be fun for just about any user to try out.

Its the easiest method to use for sure. Could use a better model animation. Maybe an option to put it in the default position, running, jumping, crouching, etc.

I want my Minecraft skins head to be transparent entirely. If I try this with a skin editor, it shows as black in multiplayer. Is there any way of doing this?

You cant make it invisible to my knowledge, however you can say, make it blend in with nighttime, and only go out after dark, or you can make it blend in with stone, and always stay underground. So other than camouflage you really cant be totally invisible, Im not sure if the whole blackness thing was intentional at first, but after multiplayer was first implemented (Way back in...Creative, or Survival Test, I think), is probably when Notch made it an actual feature.

I made all my skins with photoshop, where its pretty easy because TIFF saves information about "transparency" diffrent to many other formats that just fill in white once you save the file... on photoshop you can just simply erase the area and save as TIFF... (transparency is shown with the grey/white sqares in the background layer)

EDIT: ok I just checked my skins and its PNG! this will save your transparency information and just to show you how it looks I made an image of my enderman skin... if you want to get rid of the head... simply delete it... ^^

In singleplayer, you can change the Steve/Alex texture or model in your resource pack and place that resource pack on your world. However, in multiplayer, this is impossible (you wouldnt want people to cheat, of course.)

This is brilliant. Thank you dragnoz!!!! I think you can upload heads from your computer if you take the location of the file…. I need to try it out.

If you are using the EXE Launcher, you need to make a shortcut to it, same if you are launching from a BAT file. This can be done by right clicking the file in question and selecting Send To > Desktop (Create Shortcut).

1) Once you have the shortcut on your desktop, right click it and select "Properties" 2) If the properties menu did not open on the Shortcut tab, select that tab at the top of the Menu. 3) Near the bottom of the shortcut tab should be a button that reads "Change Icon", click that. 4) From the "Change Icon" menu select or Browse to the location you saved the .ICO file 5) Open the Icon file, this will cause the Icons within to be displayed as selectable Icons. In this case each Icon file contains only one Icon, so select that and hit "OK" 6) That will close the Icon Selection window. To finalize your Icon selection simply Press "Apply" and then "OK" at the bottom of the shortcut properties window.

The Icon for the shortcut will be updated to the Sphax Icon (or any Icon) you select. If it did not immediately change right click anywhere on your desktop and click "Refresh".

After downloading or copying the custom icon file(s) to your computer follow these steps: 1) Select the desired icon in the Finder. 2) Choose Get Info from the File menu. 3) Click the icon that appears in the Info window. 4) Choose Copy from the Edit menu. Note: Leave the Info window open. 5) In the Finder, select the application, folder, or document whose icon you want to change. Note that the Info window immediately updates to display the newly selected item. 6) Click the icon that appears in the Info window. 7) Choose Paste from the Edit menu. 8) Close the Info window.
